You see, up until the mid 1960s… Many people still fed their dogs “human food”… Like meat scraps, vegetables, and other simple, whole foods. By The 1970’s, People Were Feeding Their Dogs  Processed Dog Food MORE Than Ever Before In other words… By the 1970s the average North American dog had gone from eating a high protein diet made with a few simple and natural ingredients… To a diet high in corn, wheat, soy, and all kinds of additives… Foods that they are NOT born to eat. But that they were now being given on a daily basis by their loving, and well-intentioned owners. THE BIG BRANDS ARE EVEN WORSE… Just look at Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition Roasted Chicken, Rice & Vegetable Flavor It contains 46 ingredients… Including Whole Grain Corn (ingredient #1), Corn Gluten Meal (Ingredient #3), Chicken by-product Meal... As well as Choline Chloride, DL-Methionine, L Tryphophan, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride and even Blue 2, Yellow 5, Yellow 6 and Red 40... Now if you can’t pronounce some the ingredients I just listed out… You’re not alone. And even though some of the hard-to-pronounce names in these dog foods are added forms of vitamins and minerals… It doesn’t change the fact that these are ADDITIVES…because the actual food does NOT contain enough nutrients!!! Inferior forms of nutrients that were either made synthetically…Or extracted from who-knows-where…
